About OCMA

Who We Are

The Orange County Modelers Association (OCMA) is an AMA-chartered club (Club No. 58, District 10) for radio control, control line, and FPV enthusiasts in Orange County, California. We’re an all-volunteer, open-membership club with pilot instruction for newcomers and a full calendar of club flying, cookouts, and events.

Our members fly fixed wing, giant scale, helicopters, 3-D, soaring, park flyers, and FPV/multirotor aircraft — electric and fuel/gas. Turbines are not permitted at our field.

Bob Swenson Memorial Field

We fly on our own asphalt and grass runways at Bob Swenson Memorial Field, tucked into Silverado Canyon on land the club leases. The site includes marked pilot stations and a defined airspace bounded by the tree lines to the east and west and the oak tree across the field to the north — please stay within these boundaries at all times, and use a spotter if you’re unsure.

Getting There

Santiago Canyon Road, then follow Blue Diamond / Haul Road to the end.
